Due to the upcoming retirement of our highly respected incumbent post holder, we are looking to appoint an exceptional financial leader to the position of Chief Finance Officer.

As a key member of the Trust’s Executive Team, the CFO has overall operational and strategic responsibility for all aspects of the Trust’s finances, as well as overseeing the estates and IT function of the Trust, line managing the Trust’s Director of Estates and IT Infrastructure and the Trust’s Central Finance Team.

Working closely with the Trust’s Executive Team, which comprises the CEO, the COO and Director of Trust Services, the CFO will ensure the financial sustainability of the Trust, agilely responding to its changing needs and the demands of the education sector. The CFO will provide advice to the CEO, Trust leaders and the Board of Trustees in ensuring they are fully aware of their financial responsibilities and that financial propriety is maintained at all times.

The successful candidate will have significant experience of leading and managing substantial budgets and working with a range of stakeholders to develop strong financial understanding. You will be educated to degree level or equivalent, and hold a professional accountancy qualification. Experience of working within an educational setting is desirable; what is more important is your proven track record of successful financial leadership and management in a complex or multi-site organisation.

In joining our small Trust, you will experience a working environment which is flexible and personal, with supportive colleagues who care deeply, are experts in their fields and who are passionate about what they do. We will get to know you as an individual and we will value what you bring to the team.

As a Trust, we also offer a range of staff benefits which are second to none, including

●     access to an Employee Assistance Programme for both you and your immediate family members

●     high quality CPD and training
